    Roaaad Trip!!
I would absolutely love to do a full New Zealand Road trip with my family! However the kiddies are still probably a bit young for that so my next best would be to do the North Island, and then the South Island another time. Our country is so super beautiful it would be nice to be able to show them how lucky they are to live where they do.

The Great Family holiday - Extinct?
So, I sit at this computer... surrounded by old newspapers which somehow manage to hide most of the dust that has accumulated on the surface of my desk. How has this happened? Through neglect I hear you say. Well, yeah. But it's happened slowly. A few specks of dust a day and a newspaper for dessert, I guess. Oh to be clear from this uninspiring scenery!!So you'd like to hear about my best holiday adventure? Well, I was lucky enough...

Our holiday dream came true in New Zealand
Our holiday dream came true in New Zealand   We /me, my wife and our 8 years daughter / started our NZ holiday in Christchurch. First goal was Lake Tekapo, we went through Darfield and beautiful hilly landscape of Canterbury. Almost no traffic. This first day drive it was a little fight with different car driving and different trafic rules. Lake Tekapo was beautiful, there we visited little church with breathtaking view from altar window.Next day - Lake Pukaki, having perfect weather, could have...

    Kakadu etc.
My husband and I took our first Motorhome holiday in more than 30 years last August.  Sheer luxury in comparison - VW Kombie around Europe - Cheapacampa 2 berth in NT. A two week trip from Darwin - Litchfield, Katherine and Kakadu. What a surprise! Weather was perfect, sights were unforgettable, swims in hot springs a delight. The camper was very comfortable and drove like a car. Included everything we needed.  Made us feel young and carefree again. Now we dream of retirement and...

10 Days in the beautiful New Zealand's South Island
It is true what they say about New Zealand: “The world in one Country”. As European I have seen a lot of countries especially in Europe but also outside, but what amazed me the most was how much scenery of all those different countries you see back in New Zealand, it’s just amazing! Our journey started in Christchurch where we picked up our motor home. We had chosen for Cheapa Campa (www.cheapacampa.co.nz) , mainly because the good price-value. The pick-up...

Sheila and Bruce Go Wild in the West!
We adopted the pseudonyms Sheila and Bruce for a bit of fun and the blog shows we had plenty of that. We are sold on Cheapa Campa and used them in New Zealand last year as well as in Australia this year. Both times we were upgraded from a 4 berth to a 6 berth for no extra cost and one or two small problems we had on the road were dealt with quickly and efficiently. We travelled more than...

    The adventure of our life
Yeah, we finally went on our lives adventure. We had been planning the trip for almost a year and it was the greatest feeling that went through our bodies as we stepped out from the airport and into the warm Australian night. After a good night’s sleep, we went to the office to pick up the car, and we took off on our adventure. First we saw the Great Ocean Road – and what a sight. Because we had our...

Hidden treasures of south west Western Australia.
We picked up our 4wd poptop camper from Perth, it was 40 degrees and we couldn't wait to get the aircon on and start our road trip.  First stop was Fremantle, a beautiful portside city with awesome markets with plenty of cafes and bars. From there we drove straight towards Bremer bay with an overnight stop at Broomhill. Bremer bay and the Albany coastline are magnificent with the coastal scenery dominated by the rounded granite rocks and headlands.  The wind...
